After months of bottle-feeding, Georgette is now fully weaned and living in the pasture with the other goats. She is the friendliest of all the goats, always greeting me with joyful bleats and trotting over for pets. Look how she’s grown!
(Yes, I know their pasture looks terrible. It’s this drought! They’re getting supplemental hay.)
Georgette is perfectly healthy now, with no remaining muscle weakness. All the goats have been given supplemental minerals to prevent this problem from occurring again. Looks like it worked, because we had a pair of twins born some weeks back with no trouble at all. See the new babies! One is brown with splashes of white…
…and one is brown all over.
Aren’t they sweet?
The brown goat is a good mother.
