We had such a lovely Mother’s Day this year. My husband and daughter made a delicious meal while my mom, my mother-in-law, and I relaxed and visited.
The very next day, Selina, the pregnant stray cat my husband brought home a few weeks ago, went into labor! We’d seen her poking around in closets and boxes and things, and wondered what spot she’d choose to have the kittens in. She ended up selecting the space where our refrigerator used to be. The fridge went kaput back in December, and with all the COVID-related delays in manufacturing and such, the replacement still hasn’t arrived. I’ve been using the empty space as a storage closet. Now it’s housing a little feline family.
Selina is a good mother, and the kittens are doing great.
Now I’m back at work on my writing, with a Mother’s Day bouquet to brighten up the study!
