Bluebonnets on the Farm

We Texans tend to lose our heads over our beloved state flower, plunking our kids down in pastures year after year to take pictures of them among the bluebonnets. I’ve never actually done this myself, but I do love to see these gorgeous lupines blooming in the springtime. The bluebonnets that grow here on the farm are different from the ones I usually see along roadsides. They’re more of a French blue. Our bluebonnets peaked a month ago, but here are some pics I took of them. You can see how much our dog Penny enjoyed the flowers!
